The employment of sustainable and productivity-enhancing agricultural technologies can make a huge difference in the lives of extreme poor farmers. However, excluded and marginalized people often lack access to sustainable solutions to diversify into production activities which are specifically tailored to their special needs and at the same time increase their productivity. In the experience of NETZ, knowledge on sustainable technology options which are suitable for the most disadvantaged members of society exists on the local level, but is in many cases not widely spread. This website intends to highlight and showcase technology options, which are sustainable, productivity-enhancing, eco-friendly and especially consider the needs and situations of the extreme poor. The following agricultural technologies represent a small segment of the technology portfolio used by participants in NETZ-supported projects in the field of economic and social empowerment. We are committed to update and complement this section on a regular basis.
